Josefus Dietrich

Son of János (Joannes) Dietrich and Anna Virth (Wirth). Baptized as Josef Dietrich on August 22, 1850 in Világos, Kingdom of Hungary, which is now Șiria, Arad, Romania. He was orphaned at the age of 16. He and his younger brother, Martin, lived with their stepfather Franciscus (Ferencz) Kreidler (1829-1884) and a series of stepmothers until adulthood. As an adult, he worked as a laborer. His first wife was Rozalia Becker. They married on January 27, 1874 in Világos, then part of Austria-Hungary. She died from tuberculosis three months later. His second wife was Barbara Mondek. They married on May 19, 1874 in Világos. One known child was born to this union: Josefus Dietrich (1875-1876) He died from pneumonia on March 6, 1878 in Világos and was buried on March 7, 1878.
