In 1921, his body was later exhumed and reburied in the Salonika (Lembet Road) Military Cemetery, Greece. Joe is also remembered on the Kilrea War Memorial, the family gravestone in Kilrea First Presbyterian Churchyard and at the Balmoral Golf Club.
