Daily newspaper writer, editor in chief of the ‘Serbian Literary Gazette', university professor, art historian, socially active, national tribune, political activist, leader of youth radicalism and ideologist of Yugoslav cultural association. As the focal figure of the modernist era, with a vivid spirit and boundless energy he was the founder and first secretary of the Writers' Association, the initiator of many literary and cultural endeavours, he incorporated a modern style into literary chronicles and introduced a whole new generation into literature.
