European Champion Racehorse. After more then a century, she is deemed the best racehorse to have ever lived. Foaled in Hungary, her record 54 straight wins without a loss occurred during her age span beginning at two and ending at five. She ran against all entries, without distinction as to male or female and performed in every major race at the top race parks in five European countries consisting of Austria, Hungary, Germany, France and England. Suffering an injury, she was retired to stud in Hungary, a vast region now called Kincsem after the horse that was the toast of Europe,. She died of colic at age thirteen soon after foaling a colt. Her line can be traced to horseracing in the United States. Her skeleton was mounted and is still on display. Kincsem was a national treasure to the country of Hungary.
