Relocated, possibly due to war, to the village of Minayia (Ambelokipoi Logga) and was a γεωργος, a farmer. Kalyvia or Kalivia is a Greek village in the of the Falaisia Municipality of the Arcadia prefecture located 5 km east of Leontari around 15 km southeast of Megalopoli. Kalyvia is situated in the Alfeios Valley and are made up of forests and farmlands as well. The mountains cover the southeastern portions and are made up of rocks with grasslands and bushes along with a couple of forests and grasses and bushes around the areas. The branch of the Alfeios river lies to the north. Its main production are olives, citrus, fruits, vegetables and other crops. Konstantinos Kalivas was from the Megalopoli-Tripoli area of Arcadia. At the time of the War for Independence from the hated Ottoman Turks (which started about 1821, and lasted for decades), Konstantinos was a young man. The fighting was heavy in this area as the valiant Klephtic warriors battled the infidel Turks to free Greece from 400 years of enslavement and torture. Due to all the fighting he and his two brothers, Andreas and Theodoros fled the area of Tripolis and headed south to the Messenias Region to escape the fighting and start a new life. Konstantinos and Theodoros settled in the tiny village of Minayia, now called Ambelokipoi Logga (Upper Garden of the Grapes)-Pylos. And became successful farming grapes, and currants. Roupaki, known before as Kalyvia Kotsika, is a settlement that predates 1200 A.D. Its sister village Tourkoleka is only about one mile southwest of it. Roupaki was abandoned in 1532, after the Turks pillaged it.
