Lieutenant Colonel Launcelot Vincent Stoneham Sherwood 10th Baluch Regiment, Distinguished Service Order and Bar, Three times Mentioned in Despatches. Son of James Isaac Sherwood and Ethel (nee Bowers). Launcelot attended Bedford School, Bedfordshire from 1908 to 1918 and his name appears in a booklet produced by the school to commemorate all their former pupils who died in the Second World War. He married Gwendoline Amy Tucker in 1931. She lived in Worcester at the time of his death.
