Australian Army Medical Corps Private WX3141 Description of WA. Paybook photograph of WX3141 Private Laurence Colin Keogh, 2/7th Field Ambulance, Australian Army Medical Corps. Private Keogh, aged 24, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 26 May 1941. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 12, also his name is located at panel 87 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial . (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency. He was the son of Geoffrey Paul and Amelia Victoria Keogh, of Victoria Park, WA. His brother Private George Geoffrey Keogh died of wounds in Egypt and was a Rat of Tobruk.
