Lefteris Vogiatzis (1945-2013) was a great Greek actress and theater director. Born in Athens, he studied English literature at the University of Athens. He attended for two years Reinhurt Seminar in Vienna and finished the college K. Michaelides in Athens. In theater he first appeared in 1973. Followed partnerships with Spyros Evaggelatos, and later with Ellie Lambeti. During those years, he played many roles in classic repertoire mainly. In 1981 he founded the Theatre Company "The Scene" and the 1988 "New Stage". He directed and starred in many plays, and in 1989 founded the Laboratory for Ancient Drama at the beginning of engaging with the ancient Greek drama, directing the "Antigone" by Sophocles. Following successful shows, such as "By the power of Kifissia," the "Misanthrope," "Helena," "The Night of the Owl", the "Persians", "Ashes to Ashes", "Cleansed" and other great theatrical successes . In the movie starring almost exclusively on films Nikos Panagiotopoulos, which connects a great friendship. The funeral was held Wednesday, May 8 while his body was exposed to public veneration on the same day from 12 noon until 4 pm in the theater of the street at the request of the Cyclades.
