Gunner Crofts, aged 22, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of George Henry and Ethel Jean Crofts, of Koo-Weerup, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency. He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour in KOO WEE RUP Vic also his name is located at panel 20 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
