Territorial Nursing Sce. Sister L. Griffin
Sister LILIAN GRIFFIN, Territorial Force Nursing Service Miss Lilian Griffin joined the service as a staff nurse in 8.10.1914 at at some stage posted to Salonica, while there she was injured during a bombing raid and was being transported on HS Llandovery Castle a hospital ship when she died from shock from bombs. She was given a burial at sea as per the war office letter dated 9th Sept 1916. Her sister was May Griffin.
