She was born there on 9 January to Yakov David (Giacomo Devlahovich) and Vica (Vincenza) Bertapelle/Bruttapelle. Lucia had a total of 6 brothers and 4 sisters. She is likely named for her maternal aunt, Lucija Bertapelle (Dulčić). Little Lucia passed away on 8 October 1870 and was buried the next day.
