Ludwig Job

Ludwig Job was born to Jacob and Magdalena Job in Moldova (Ukraine) originally part of Russia on April 23, 1861. Ludwig married Katherina (Hinger) Job in Russia in 1885 and they had 5 children born in Russia: Jacob Job Friederick Job Gottlieb Job John (Johann) Job Caroline Job Ludwig Job came over to the United States just before Christmas in December of 1911 and made arrangements for his son Jacob Job to marry Eva (Mayer) Job on January 12, 1912 in Jamestown, North Dakota USA. Ludwig Job's intentions were to go back to Russia to bring is wife Katherina the rest of the Job family children over from Russia to the United States, but he was never heard from again due to the Communist revolution in Russia and it is believed that Ludwig either starved or froze to death as he tried to leave Russia during winter on foot in 1912. The Job family in Russia were aldermen in the local town council and were business people who built wagons as their trade and they farmed with 75 head of cattle with a homestead of 400 acres that was plowed with 6 oxen, by hand, and with a threshing machine. Ludwig Job's parents Jacob and Magdalena Job were also born in and from modern day Moldolva (Ukraine) originally part of Russia near Odessa along the Black Sea who are descendants from the Job (Jopp) family surname from Germany who immigrated from Germany to modern day Ukraine (Russia) along the Black Sea from the early 1800's based upon the Edict of Catherine the Great from Russia in 1763.
