Manolis Chiotis was one of the most important composers of popular song and a great virtuoso of the bouzouki. Revolutionized Greek music and folk music in general inventing the four-string version of the bouzouki, and creating the first "cosmic center". Born March 21, 1921 in Thessaloniki and died suddenly of heart failure in the Hippocratic hospital in Athens on March 20, 1970.
