Don Marcantonio Giovanni Battista Alessandro Giulio, Principe Borghese, 8th Duca di Sulmona, Principe di Rossano e Montecompatri, Duce di Canemorto, etc. was a son of Don Francesco Paolo, Principe Borghese, 7th Duca di Sulmona, and his wife, Adele Françoise Constance de La Rochefoucauld. He was married in Rome on May 11, 1835 to Lady Gwendoline Talbot, daughter of John Talbot, 16th Earl of Shrewsbury. Following her death on October 27, 1840, he was married in Paris on December 2, 1843 to his cousin, Marie Therese Louise Alexandrine Francoise de La Rochefoucauld.
