In memoriam

From Koroška Bela. Together with her husband Jože, the German authorities exiled her (while pregnant) and their three children from Jesenice to Serbia during the war, but they were allowed to return a few months later and went to Zaplana. Her husband was compelled to serve in the Village Guards. Marija and Jože were murdered at the Teharje death camp after the war. Source: Kržan, Vanja. "Teta mi je dala hrbtenico."
