Marija Trunkelj

Born in Volčje Jame, lived in Log. Known locally as "Šajtlova mama." Daughter of Anton ? and Marija née Primc. After her farm was robbed by the Partisans several times, she was attacked and knocked unconscious by three Partisans on July 16th, 1944. They loaded her into a manure wagon and took her to Zalisec, where they locked her in a cellar overnight. She was and murdered around three o'clock the next morning at Reber near Zalisec together with Jože Struna , accused of damaging the local telephone lines. She was the mother of ten children.
