In memoriam
Marko Težak was born in Rosalnice, house number 37, Metlika parish, Slovenia, the son of Marko Težak and Anna Rozman. Marko lived his entire life in the same house in Rosalnice, dying there in 1894. He married "Marjeta" Margaretha Plesec on February 16, 1870 in the parish of Metlika, presumably at the Tri Fare Church in Rosalnice. After Marjeta's death in 1889, he married her sister, Theresia Plesec, on June 16, 1890. Theresia was the widow of Ive Bosnjak. Marko and Marjeta were the parents of ten children: 1. "Bara" Barbara (Težak) Balkovic 2. "Anthony J." Anton Težak 3. Martin Težak 4. "Joseph" Jozef Težak 5. Franz Težak (died young) 6. "Mary" Marija (Težak) Russ 7. Agnes Težak (died young) 8. Anna Težak (died young) 9. Theresia Težak 10. Katharina Težak (died young) Marko and Marjeta Težak are both buried in the Tri Fare Church Cemetery (Rosalnice, Slovenia).
