Matevž Krmelj

In memoriam

Divinity student from Stara Loka in Upper Carniola. He had been spending his summer vacations at the Jeraj farm in Velika Račna. He was wounded at Turjak Castle, and then shot by the Partisans. The place of his death and the location where his body was buried are not known. He is believed to have been killed 23 October 1943 at Jelenov Žleb south of Ribnica.
