Mathias Andreas Zapletan

In memoriam

Mathias Zapletan was known as a successful farmer in his hometown of St. Georgen Yugoslavia, one day after lunch he felt a terrible pain in his abdomen, he was taken in the family cart to the hospital but died on the way before reaching there, his death was due to a severe appendicitis that wasn't treated on time. He was the son of the late Mathias & Theresia Zapletan (Born Becker) He had a wife named Magdalena by whom he had 3 children: Mathias (Jr.), Barbara & Josef. Funeral Services were held in the Catholic Parish of St. Nicholas in what is now Zitiste on October 9 1939.
