Meho “Kemo” Karišik

In memoriam

The first commander of the "Patriotic League of Bosnia and Herzegovina" was the late Meho Karisik Kemo. He was a master of military sciences and before the rank of general in the former JNA. He left the former national army at the end of 1990 because he recognized what was in store for his people in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Meho Karišik was seriously injured in a traffic accident that happened near Zenica in 1993. He never fully recovered from the consequences, and he moved on December 28, 1998 at the age of 55.
