In memoriam

To the memory of the late SERG Chas Moore Royal Marine Light Infantry H.M.S. Algiers who departed this life on the 29th of August 1862 Aged 34 years He was highly esteemed by the detach royal marines serving on board the above ship by whom this stone is erected. For all flesh is as grass and all the glory of man as the flower of grass.
