In memoriam

Author. Dušan "Duško" Radović was a Serbian writer, journalist, aphorist and a poet, especially children's poetry. Besides writing for newspapers, he was the editor-in-chief of a children magazine, "Pionirske novine". In the media, he was editor of Children's Program of Radio Belgrade and editor of Children's Program of Television Belgrade. He is credited with six published collections of poems. Most of his writings have been translated into all the major languages of the world. He was a television screenplay writer for the series "By Letter, by Letter" from 1963 to 1965. Radović's image was on a 2022 Serbian stamp. He is the recipient of many awards including the international scroll of honor of the Hans Christian Andersen International Organization of Children's Literature. An aphorism is a concise remark that is general truthful and rememberable. He published three popular books of aphorisms: "Good Morning Belgrade #1" in 1977, "Good Morning Belgrade #2" in 1981 and "Good Morning Belgrade # 3" in 1984. One of his most quoted aphorisms is "To have friends means to accept that there are more beautiful, smarter, and better people than you. Those, who cannot accept that, have no friends.
