In memoriam

14302 Private Ernest Green, Died of Wounds received in action, on the 21st.August 1917, while serving with the 7th.Battalion, The Royal Berkshire Regiment. Three months later, Ernest's brother Walter Frank Green, was Killed in Action on the 6th.November 1917, while serving as PO/2027(S) in the Royal Marine Light Infantry, 1st R.M. Bn. Royal Naval Division and is Commemorated on The Tyne Cot Memorial. (Memorial ID1194849) Both were sons of James and Sophia Green, of 18, Oxford Cottages, Iver, Bucks.
