13397 Lance Corporal Herbert Matteri, was Killed in Action on the 30th.September 1916, Aged 27, while serving in the 7th.Battalion, The Royal Berkshire Regiment. Brother of G/2614 Corporal John Matteri, who was Killed in Action, on the 17th.June 1916, while serving with the 8th.Battalion, The Queens (Royal West Surrey Regiment) (Memorial ID12516369) Both were Sons of Mrs. E. Matteri, of 276, Essex Rd., London and later 15 Cannonbury St., Highbury.
