Husein Rizvić

In memoriam

After the first war events in Croatia, it was clear to Husein Rizvić what was going on in his homeland. As early as the beginning of May 1991, he joined the cavalry "Green Berets", the "Klis" unit with which the ARBIH joined after its formation. He finished primary school in his native Parsovići and electrical engineering in nearby Konjic. Immediately after graduating from high school, he was employed by RO "Rudar" in the plant in his village, where his father Esad, mother Esma, wife Esma, daughter Naida and brother Ahmo also lived. Since the first day of the war, he has been in the front lines as a fighter who participated in almost all voluntary actions in which he used his school knowledge and work experience extremely successfully. He often went to actions outside Konjic with his unit, and he died in one such action. In an attempt to unblock Sarajevo, in the action on Tinovo brdo near Hadzici, Husein Rizvic died bravely after being hit by a "threshold" bullet on June 16, 1992, at the age of thirty-eight.
