In memoriam

Ivan Seunig was an industrialist; he started a workshop for making wooden shoe pegs in 1919 and then founded a factory in the village of Tacen. At the time it was the largest such factory in Yugoslavia. The family owned a mansion in Tacen that had been built in 1940 by the architect Bojan Stupica (1910–1970). After the Second World War, the family was forced to turn over the mansion to high-ranking communist officials; initially to Boris Kraigher (1914–1967), and then to Edvard Kardelj (1910–1979).
