Rifleman Lance Sergeant R/10110 3rd Battalion Kings Royal Rifle Corps. Died on active service, aged 31 years. Son of Roger and Sarah Ann Handley (nee Dakin), 6, Moore Street, Waterloo Road, Blackpool. (Married 5 May 1882 at Chelmorton Bakewell, Derbyshire). Brother of Hannah Jane and Eliza. Enlisted at Rochdale. Previously employed as a printer.
