Michael Mulroy

In memoriam

Stoker 1st Class SS/103567 Michael Mulroy, Nelson Bn. Royal Navy Div. Son of James and Rose Mulroy nee Heany of Hardmans Gardens Drogheda. Born July 1878, a grocers assistant, he enlisted in the Royal Navy on 17/8/1906. Married Mary Lynagh of Magdalen St. Drogheda in 1911 and resided at Green Lanes, they had two children together. Wounded at Gallipoli (GSW to the Leg) in 1915 he succumbed to his wounds and died in hospital on Lemons. Naval records give his DOB incorrectly as 25 Aug 1882
