Lance Bombardier Hunt, aged 26, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of Joseph Samuel and Elizabeth Alice Hunt, of Lancefield, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10 and at panel 21 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial. He is remembered on the Roll of Honour in his hometown of Beeac Vic.
