Able Seaman Tyneside Z/3357, Anson Bn, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. Died aboard Hospital ship Aquitania from amoebic dysentery after wounds ( sharpnel right buttock). Son of William and Hannah Hunter from Oxhill, Co Durham. Husband of Dorothy Hunter (nee Pattison) of 15 Woodbine Terrace, Annfield Plain, Co Durham and father of William and John. Brothers Ernest and Vender Hunter also died in service
