Posting on Death: 3 LIGHT ANTI AIRCRAFT REGIMENT RAA Vic. Paybook photograph of VX33352 Gunner Thomas Leonard King, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner King, aged 28, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of John Thomas King and Mary Jane King, of Colac, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10, also the Roll of Honour in COLAC VIC and his name is located at panel 21 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
