Serjeant Thomas Pullen Service Number: P/17 Military Police Corps Military Mounted Police Formerly of the 18th (Queen Mary's Own) Hussars Died at sea aboard the SS Dunluce Castle The SS Dunluce Castle was a Steam Passenger Ship built by Harland & Wolff, Belfast in 1904. She was requisitioned in the First World War, served as a Troopship and took part in the convoy bringing 4,000 troops to Europe. In 1915 she was commissioned as a Hospital Ship and saw service in Gallipoli.  In 1939 she was sold for breaking up but was aquired by the Admiralty for use as an accommodation ship for small vessels in the Humber and at Scapa Flow. Husband of Mrs. E. Pullen, of 84, Church Rd., Farncombe, Godalming, Surrey.
