WW2 Service Australian Army Rank Bombardier VX47184 Royal Australian Artillery. Posting on Death: 3 Light Anti Aircraft Regiment RAA. He died as a result of enemy action in the Mediterranean sea. Vic. Paybook photograph of VX47184 Bombardier Merion Darwin Taylour, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Bombardier Taylour, aged 33, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of William Henry and Emily Taylour, of Caulfield, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency. He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour in Caulfield Vic, also his name is located at panel 21 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
