In memoriam

Theatre and literary critic, essayist, translator, publicist and politician. He was a playwright for many years and also the director of the National Theatre in Belgrade. He was a member of parliament and the Minister of Education in the inter-war period. After the death of Ljube Davidović he became the president of the Democratic Party. He was the vice-president of the first government of Josip Broz Tito. He is buried in the family crypt of Milan Rakić, his brother in law.
