Milenko Roksic was born on January 24, 1907 in Boljevci, Serbia to father Dimitrije and mother Darinka. The Roksic family Patron Saint Day is Saint John the Baptist. In his youth, Milenko worked for the State Railway in Titel until 1930. In 1930, he married Vukosava (née Milovanovic) with whom he had two daughters named Olga and Nadezda. In April 1941, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia was invaded, occupied and partitioned by Nazi Germany. Roksic helped shelter and rescue eleven Jews in Boljevci from the Nazis for which he was imprisoned in the Banjica concentration camp for six months. Roksic worked for the Belgrade Fishery (Ribarsko gazdinstvo Beograd) from 1947 to 1957. Later, he was the director and owner of the fishery and lake named Zivaca in Boljevci. Roksic spent his time between Boljevci and Dorcol where he also had a house. Roksic passed away in his sleep at the age of 59 at 9:00 PM on July 12, 1966 (the Patron Saint Day of Saints Peter and Paul). He was survived by his wife Vukosava (1913–1993), daughters Olga (1934–1970) and Nadezda (1936–2015), his siblings, his sons-in-law Jefrem Vujcic (1932–1996) and Nemanja Petakovic (1928–2014), grandson Prvoslav Vujcic (b. 1960) and grand-daughters Vera "Maca" Petakovic (1962–2022) and Milena Vujcic (b. 1964). Milenko Roksic is interred together with his wife Vukosava in the Roksic family plot in the Orthodox Christian Cemetery in Boljevci.
