In memoriam

Miranda Mirat was Greek actress. Born in 1906 and died on January 27, 1994. She was the daughter of Mitsou Mirat and Cybele, sister of architect Alexandros Murat and stepsister Dimitris Murat. He was a protagonist of the Greek theater. From 1921 until 1923 he studied at the College Sevinie in Paris. The first appearance in the theatrical scene made in 1919 with the troupe of Marika chicken project "Two Leonora" by Paul Lindau. The next year appeared in the "Student Prince". In 1923 he returned from Paris and began playing with her troupe of her mother Cybele until 1932, when he joined the National Theatre of Athens with the band which appeared as protagonist until 1938. In the years 1939 and 1940 he collaborated with the troupe of Marika chicken. In 1940 she founded her own troupe in collaboration with Kostas Mousouri the black and Orestis Makris. The next year the troupe was disbanded and created another titled "troupe Miranda and George Pappas," which gave various performances by the summer of 1942, when Miranda started new troupe participated additives and Mary Aronis. Miranda stopped theatrical career in the 1960s. Particular brilliant success he had in the works "MELTEMAKI" by P. Horn and "Miss Lawyer" by T. Synadinos. From the repertoire was particularly successful in the play "Pleasure of honesty" of Pirandello. Miranda was also a significant contributor to the National Broadcasting Corporation by reason of education, its elocution and voice timbre regarded as an expert in reciting poems and reading literary texts, especially literary festivals.
