Mircea Caragea

The retired vice admiral Mircea Caragea passed away in the evening of Wednesday, October 5, at the venerable age of 103 years. On behalf of the crew of the Naval Forces, with deep regret, the Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces, Rear Admiral Mihai Panait, sends his condolences to the bereaved family and, at the same time, expresses his gratitude for the important services that young lieutenant Mircea Caragea brought to our country, during of the Second World War, as well as for his bravery and spirit of sacrifice that he showed in his military career, on board military ships and in other structures of the Royal Romanian Navy.
