When Mirsad Demirović, the only son of Zahir and Šefika, joined the Konjic "Green Berets" on March 13, 1992, their daughters Nermina, Mirzeta and Amela were their consolation. The pensioner Zahir and housewife Šefika knew what the horrors of the war were and that is why they were afraid, but they were also proud of their only son. They also knew how timid he was, a little timid, brave and courageous, but smart and responsible. Mirsad also showed all these qualities as a member of the "KLIS" unit, from fight to fight, from action to action. He was a disciplined and obedient fighter, a volunteer in many actions, older in behavior than his years said. Because of all this, he was a favorite among comrades who knew they always had a reliable man by their side. He was known among the young people of Konjic, in the city where he finished high school, as a friend worth hanging out with. He sacrificed his youth for freedom as a member of the 445th Mountain Brigade of the Army of RBiH, in the area of Podveležje, Gornja Rabina, on November 11, 1994, where he was fatally shot by a Chetnik sniper.
