In memoriam

MUSTAFA ( OMER ) DZEBO – MUSA was born on November 21, 1965 in Žepa. On May 1, he finished elementary school in Žepa, enrolled in a military high school in Sarajevo, where he stayed for two years and finished in Banja Luka. He was a student of his generation in both primary and secondary school. After finishing high school, he taught at the military academy in Belgrade, where he was not accepted. With the rank of tank sergeant, he went to serve in Priština. In his free time, he practiced shot put and had great success. At the end of 1991, he received the rank of second lieutenant. He stayed in Banja Luka until December 1991, when he realized that there would be a war in Bosnia, so he went to Sarajevo. It is immediately included in TO BiH. In 1992, he participated in many battles for the defense of the city (the more famous are the Battle of Pofalići, Battle of Poljine, Jewish Cemetery - Grbavica....). He soon moved to Stup, where he became deputy commander. In 1993, he became the commander of the 102nd motorized brigade (line of defense: Stup, Nedžarići, Azići...). In 1994, in April, he left Sarajevo with his units for the Nišić plateau. He remained as the commander of the 102nd Motorized Brigade until the end of the war. Death found him in his Žepa, where he was born. In his relatively short life he achieved a lot, because he always had a clear goal and knew what he could do and what should be done. He was not one of those who talk a lot, but of those who work and for what they do, they don't even expect a "Thank you"!
