Mustafa Hilmi ef. Hadžiomerović - Bosniak theologian, the first reis-ul-ulema in the Austro-Hungarian period. Hadžiomerović was born in Kulen Vakuf in 1816. He was appointed Mufti of Sarajevo in 1856, Mustafa Hilmi ef. Hadžiomerović did not interrupt his muderic service, as he would continue to give lectures as reis-ul-ulema until 1888. While serving as mufti, he issued a large number of fatwas. In the autumn of 1882, the occupying Austro-Hungarian administration appointed him the first reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which the emperor made a decision on October 17, 1882, while the ceremonial enthronement took place in the Konak residence, in Sarajevo. Mustafa Hilmi ef. Hadžiomerović resigned from the position of reis-ul-ulema in 1893, and died on February 10, 1895 and was buried at Grlića brdo cemetery in Sarajevo.
