Nicolo Coschich was the son of Tommaso (Thome) and Anastasia Coschich. Nicolo married Maria Radonich Marinovich. They had at last two children, Tommaso and Domenico, named for their fathers. Nicolo died in 1766 in Vrboska and was about 80 years old, according to his death record. He was buried at the church of the Madonna, or Blessed Virgin Mary. This is now likely the site of the Fortress of St. Mary. Note: The family name was spelled also spelled Coscha and possibly Coschin in 17th Century records. The name also had an alias, Brescovich, which was used first in early records. Additionally, Nicolo and his son are noted in parish records with the abbreviation Pron. in front of their names. This honorific was only used with a handful of families in Vrboska and likely meant Paron , possibly indicating they were seaman or from a ship-building family.
