Politician. He served as the Prime Minister of Croatia from April 3, 1993 to November 7, 1995. He graduated from the Zagreb Faculty of Law. Before turning to the political scene, he served as a high-ranking official of INA, the Croatian oil company. In April 1993, he was appointed as prime minister by President Franjo Tudman. He went on serve in this position until November 1995, when he stepped down. During his tenure, he devalued the Croatian dinar, which stopped inflation and brought some sort of economic stability. He later replaced the Croatian dinar with a new currency, the kuna. After leaving office, he went on to serve in the Croatian parliament until 2003.
