Nora “Nora Fora” Šitum

In memoriam

Nora suffered from acute lymphoblastic leukemia and for her treatment, the citizens collected more than five million kuna in just a few days. After the citizens raised a huge amount of money for her treatment, Nora traveled to Philadelphia to participate in the first experimental therapy involving a weakened form of HIV. Unfortunately, the problems started immediately upon arrival. Nora felt weak and her condition began to deteriorate. She got an infection that made it impossible to continue the therapy, and she died on March 20, 2013 at 5:20 a.m. Croatian time.
