Omurtag “The Builder” of Bulgaria

Omurtag (or Omortag) was a Great Khan of Bulgaria from 814 to 831. His father Krum, was Khan of Bulgaria. d. 13 Apr 814. Omurtag is known as "the Builder". Born around 770. Died in 831 possibly in his Palace of Omurtag, Turgovishte. C.Smith
