An Irish rugby international. He played one Test for his country in 1933. A career air force officer, he was killed when a bomber he was an observer in was shot down over Macedonia in WWII. Son of Comdr B.T. Coote, O.B.E, R.N., and Mrs Coote, Husband of Muriel Coote, of Chobham, Surrey.
