Private Percy William Barker was Killed in Action, on the 4th.July 1917, Aged 19, while serving with the 7th.Battalion, The Royal Berkshire Regiment. The 7th.Battalion War Diary entry for this day reported '1 OR killed by piece of shrapnel falling from aircraft shell'. Son of William Barker and Emma Barker, of Yeldhall Cottage, Twyford, Berks.
