Petru Fantana II

Petru Fantana II was born in Talmacel Village, Sibiu County, Romania. Petru II took over the management of the Fantana Family General Store and Restaurant in Talmacel after the death of his father in 1897. He then purchased a Leather Factory circa 1920 in Talmaciu and built a beautiful home on the property of his Factory. The Leather Factory was taken over by the National Bank in June of 1931, when the global depression of the early 1930's caused a huge drop in the demand for leather goods. Petru died in the home where he had lived when first moving to the town of Talmaciu to run his Leather Factory.
