The Right Reverend Metropolitan (Bishop) of Corfu and Paxos (1967 – 1984), Polykarpos Greek: Ο Σεβασμιώτατος Μητροπολίτης Κερκύρας και Παξών (1967 – 1984) κυρός Πολύκαρπος secular name: Panagiotis Vagenas (Παναγιώτης Βαγενάς) Suffered a heart attack and died during the Procession of the Annunciation at Cephalonia. His funeral took place at the Cathedral in Corfu and he was interred in the Monastery of Platytera, Corfu.
