Captain Ralph Schooley, 'B' troop, died during operations on the enemy held island of Brac, Yugoslavia. He received a Mention in Despatches for "outstanding service whilst operating with the Allied Armies in Italy." Brac - Operation Flounced Aged 27 years Royal Marines No. 43 R.M. Commando. Captain Country of Service - United Kingdom Royal Navy Son of Wilfred John and Gladys Schooley Husband of Catherine Margery Schooley (née Evans), of Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan.
