Robert James Edwards

In memoriam

Private Robert James Edwards was the son of Ezekiel and Elizabeth Edwards, of 21, Ravenshaw St., which lies off Mill Lane, West Hampstead, London. Robert served in the Great War with the 3rd Battalion of the Middlesex Regiment, service number S/7414 He died aged 26. Robert is also remembered on the family grave in Hampstead Cemetery in London, where the inscription reads: 'In loving memory of Ezekiel Amos Edwards who died Jan. 26, 1922, aged 79. Elizabeth Emma Edwards, his wife, died Dec. 8. 1948. Aged 89. Also George Frederick Edwards died Nov. 26 1916 aged 28. Also of Robert James Edwards, who died of wounds received in action at Salonika. Jan. 10. 1917. Aged 26'. His cenotaph is memorial no 204980264
